Spring 2024 Important Dates and Events:
- Registration deadline February 23rd.
- Practice begins the week of March 18th. Practice days and times are determined by the volunteer coach.
- First games begin Saturday, March 30th.
- The season will conclude on Saturday, May 18th.

- All games and practices are played at Stenger Soccer Complex.
8U Teams play 5 versus 5 (4 field players and a goalkeeper) We have designed this program to allow the players to get several touches on the ball in a fun and exciting environment. Both the field and the goals are smaller than full-sided fields to allow the players to have success. We continue to keep the emphasis on the fun and learning of the game. Teams play games on Saturdays at Stenger Complex and practice two times per week. Volunteer coaches are assigned to each team. The Edge staff will direct 4 practices per season with each team.
AGE Group Objectives: Introduction to positions and Ball Mastery.
Roster Size: 9-10 Players
Goal Keepers: Different color jersey
Size of Ball: Size 3
Practice: 1 hour, 2 times per week at Stenger Soccer Complex.
Cleats Permitted: Cleats are optional
Length of Game: 2 X 20 Minute Halves
Offside Rule: Conditional
Fouls and Misconduct: Per FIFA “Laws of the Game”
Uniforms:
Home team wears Blue Jerseys, Black Shorts, & Blue Socks.
Visiting team wears White Jersey, Black Shorts, & White Socks.
All coaches will ensure each player receives 50% playing time in each game, providing the player meets the team’s practice requirements.
