11U – 12U Recreational ( Birth Year 2010-2011)
Recreational teams play 9 versus 9 including a goalkeeper. There are no tryouts and teams are formed by placing players on teams on a first-come-first-serve basis. These players are then registered with the club from August 1st – July 31st of the following year. During their year-long season they will play league games that are split between Fall (August – November) and Spring (March – May). Volunteer coach will be assigned to the team.
AGE Group Objectives: Teams will focus on the technical and tactical concepts in the game of soccer. Colorado Edge coaches will also focus on the rulses of the game and create an environment that foster great sportsmanship.
Practice: 60 min. per day, 2 times per week
Edge Staff training provided.
Size of Ball: Size 4
Games: Teams will be placed in the Denver West League. Games will be played on Saturday. Half the games will be played at home and half the games will be played away. This is a travel league and away games range from (Golden, Westminster, and Wheatridge)
Length of Game: 2 X 30 Minute Halves
Offside Rule: Per FIFA “Laws of the Game”
Fouls and Misconduct: Per FIFA “Laws of the Game”
Goalkeepers: Different color jersey
Cleats Permitted: Cleats are recommended
Uniforms:
- Home team wears Red Jerseys, Black Shorts, & Red Socks
- Visiting team wears White Jersey, Black Shorts, & Black Socks
13U – 14U Recreational (Birth Year 2008-2009)

AGE Group Objectives: Team training will continue to focus on the technical and tactical principles involved in the game of soccer. There will be increased focus on the tactical components of the game. Coaches will continue to address sportsmanship in practices and games.
