U8 Girls Developmental
Under 8 Girls Information
Our under 8 girls teams play 6 versus 6 with a goal keeper. We have designed this program to allow the players to get several touches on the ball in a fun and exciting environment. Both the field and the goals are smaller than full-sided fields to allow the players to have success. We continue to keep the emphasis on the fun and learning of the game.
AGE Group Objectives: Introduction to positions and Ball Mastery.
Max. Roster Size: 12 Players
Size of Ball: Size 3
Size of Field: 55 X 30 Yards
Size Of Goal: 6 X 12 Feet
Length of Game: 2 X 20 Minute Halves
Offsides Rule: Conditional
Fouls and Misconduct: Per FIFA "Laws of the Game"
GoalKeepers: Different color jersey
Referee Assignment: Grade 9 Referee
Linesperson: Teams provide
Practice: 1 hour per day, 2 times per week
Cleats Permitted: Cleats are optional
Uniforms:
Home team wears Blue Jerseys, Blue Shorts, & Blue Socks.
Visiting team wears White Jersey, Blue Shorts, & White Socks.
All coaches will ensure each player receives 50% playing time in each game, providing the player meets the team's practice requirements.

Other Notes:
After the end of each game, each player should participate in the traditional friendship line and shake hands with the other team.
ASA discourages coaches and parents from emphasizing winning and losing. The emphasis should be put on the players’ participation, development, and enjoyment of the game.
