About EDGE Developmental

Arvada_small

Mission

EDGE Soccer Club is committed to providing a professionally structured soccer environment which allows each player within the Club to reach their own personal highest playing potential.  Our goal is to create an environment where players of all ability levels will be able to enjoy the game of soccer through age-specific training and consistent strength of competition with qualified coaches who will also create opportunities for growth in a positive, competitive, challenging fun environment.

The EDGE has the structure in place to provide players of all ability through our comprehensive developmental program for players ages 4 through 18, the ARVADA EDGE.  Our competitive program, the COLORADO EDGE, holds an annual tryout process which identifies and groups players onto teams based on similar playing abilities and is available for players ages 11 through 18.

Philosophy
The ARVADA EDGE is dedicated to providing a FUN, but challenging soccer environment for the children in our program. The emphasis is placed on FUN and player development, through an age-appropriate training program. Each child is challenged at a level which is appropriate for their stage of development.  The EDGE prides itself in offering the most enjoyable and rewarding soccer experience for our players, coaches, referees, and families in the Arvada and surrounding communities.

2minute drill for coaches
monthly tips from Positive Coaching Alliance

Making The Most of Mistakes

Fear of making a mistake is a paralyzing force
that robs athletes of spontaneity, love of the
game, and a willingness to try new things.
When coaches accept mistakes as part of
learning, their athletes gain the psychological
and emotional freedom that unlocks the
learning process.
Think twice about removing players
immediately after a mistake - you are saying
it's not ok to make a mistake. Take a few
minutes before subbing out a player if you do
not want them to think they are getting pulled
for making a mistake.
